WHERE TO APPLY
The Visa Application Centre in Dubai is designed to facilitate visa application process for UAE nationals and other nationals holding a valid Resident Permit issued by one of the following Emirates:
Dubai;
Sharjah;
Ras-Al-Khaimah;
Fujairah; Ajman or
Umm-Al-Quwain
All other applicants need to apply through the Application Center in Abu Dhabi

Change in Procedures!
With the introduction of the Schengen Visa-Kodex, the Visa Information System (VIS), all information leaflets and application forms have changed, as well as our website. Information Leaflets and Forms can either be downloaded from this website or can be collected free of charge at the Visa Application Centre
The duration of the application process at the Visa Application Centre can take 30 to 45 minutes per person. |

Please note Effective 2 October 2012, all applicants aged 12 years and above will need to appear in person in order to provide their biometric data. |

| Step 1 : |
Prepare your application and supporting documents: Go to 'All
about your visas' link on this website and find out details related to
the visa category you want to apply for – here, you can find the applicable
fee, documents required, Visa application form and more.

Book an appointment (Mandatory) Effective 2nd October 2012, all visa applications will be accepted at the Application Centre through prior appointments only.
Booking an appointment is free of charge and is subject to availability. More details available under
Schedule an Appointment.
Group Bookings:
If you are travelling in a group of 10 or more applicants please email us at info.germanyuae@vfshelpline.com to organize an appointment.
Medical Treatment:
In case the purpose of your travel is for medical purposes, you may walk into the Application Centre and enquire about an earlier appointment subject to approval from the German Consulate. All related documents will be required. |
| Step 3 : |
Submit your application: Visit Visa Application Centre in person as per appointment scheduled and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents. The visa application process may take up to half an hour due to the change in processes.

Withdrawal:
The original passport must be submitted along with the application and can be collected once the visa application process is complete.
Temporary withdrawal of the passport is not allowed during the processing period.
In cases where withdrawal of passport is extremely necessary, the applicant will have to submit a written and signed request for the withdrawal of the passport and application. Consequently the whole application will be withdrawn and all the submitted original-documents including the passport will be returned from the Consulate to the applicant via VFS.
Once a passport and application have been withdrawn, the applicant has to apply again for a new visa.

Pay applicable Fee: Please check 'Visa Fee' table provided under the visa category you are applying for. Visa Application Centre accepts the fee in CASH ONLY. A receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre. |

Track Your Application online:

This service will provide an update on the location of your application. Please note the original payment receipt will be required during collection.
