How to Apply

All Visa applicants are advised to visit the Joint Visa Application Center in Dubai to submit their applications, together with all necessary documents and to schedule an interview at the respective Consulate.

Working Days: Sunday to Thursday
Working Hours: 0900 to 1500hrs
Passport Collection Hours: 1500 to 1700hrs

Please note that visas are issued only to residents of the Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain.

Procedures

Schengen Visas (Transit, Business, Visit)

Once the application is received together with all the necessary documents it will be sent to the respective consulate and the applicant will be given an appointment for a personal interview. The list of necessary documents can be viewed in the section "Documents required". Once the assessment is completed by the respective Consulate the decision together with the passport and other relevant documentation will be available for collection from the Shared Visa Application Center.

The processing time for assessment of a Schengen Visa is between 2 to 14 days depending on the type of visa and the nationality of the applicant.

Please Note: The processing time is an indication only. The respective Consulates reserve the right to ask for further documentation.
Applicants lack of Travel plan will Not fall on Consulate Priority to process your visa. It is advisable to plan your travel well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

Long Term Visas/Employment
Once the application is received together with all the necessary documents it will be sent to the German Consulate General and the applicant will be given an appointment for a personal interview. The list of necessary documents can be viewed in the section "Documents required". Once the assessment is completed by the respective Consulate the decision together with the passport and other relevant documentation will be available for Collection from the Shared Visa Application Center.

An indication of the processing time for assessment of a Long Term Visa/Employment will be given during the interview. The interview is mandatory for all Long Term or Employment Visas. The German Consulate reserves the right to ask for further documentation.

Note: Application received on the business day will be submitted at The German Consulate on the following working day only.
