Payment of service charges when scheduling an appointment will be introduced
soon and will be mandatory for all appointments.
Payments can be made either online through our website or by visiting and
paying at the appointment counter at the Visa Application Centre.

06 May 2013: Arrive on Time for your appointment, 5 May 2013:
We appreciate your cooperation in assisting us to help you and other
applicants, if you are late by 10 minutes you may be requested to wait until
other applicants are attended or most likely to book a new appointment.
This is in consideration for applicants who arrive on time.
Ensure your application is complete as per the guidelines listed, else you may
be asked to schedule a new appointment to submit the complete application. |

06 May 2013: Processing Period, 5 May 2013:
Applicants are advised to ensure their applications meet the average processing
period while applying. The duration to process the visa and decision to issue
the visa is the prerogative of the German Consulate General.

06 May 2013: Appointment Availability, 5 May 2013:
There is a high demand for appointments; appointments are usually available for
a span of 3months. Apply early to avoid any disappointment as dates are subject
to availability.
Don’t’ cancel your appointment at the last minute, call us if you need to
reschedule so another applicant can submit their application.

06 May 2013: Extended Submission hours, 5 May 2013:
Effective 28 April 2013, the submission hours for visa applications have been
extended to 8am and will continue till 4pm. Prior appointments are mandatory to
submit applications, appointments can be booked through the Schedule an
appointment link on this website.

27 September 2012: Introduction of Biometric Procedure,
Effective 2 October 2012, all visa applicants, irrespective of
nationality, will have to apply in person for a visa and have their
fingerprints (scan) taken.
Applicants will be able to lodge applications and seek general immigration
information at the VFS Visa Application Centre in Dubai, UAE.
It is mandatory for all applicants to seek prior appointment to lodge
application at VFS Visa Application Centre.

6 July 2012: Change in Location, Visa Application Centre:
Germany Visa Application Centre has moved to WAFI Mall, 2nd Floor,
Falcon, Phase 2, Umm Hurair 2, Dubai, UAE.

2 February 2012: Visa Application Centre Role: All
applications collected by the Visa Application Center will be sent to the Visa
Section at German Consulate General in Dubai for assessment and resolution.
Visa Application Centre staff have no say in the visa decision and have no
influence on the application processing time whatsoever.
